Meanwhile, the nearby Regent Road is home to an ever-expanding array of trendy bars and restaurants, from smash burger spots to offbeat bars. I’m starting off with Sea Point because it was the first neighbourhood I moved to in Cape Town. This map is quite similar to the one in my where to stay guide for tourists. And for getting around here, I recommend either hiring a car or just using Uber, which is what I do most of the time. This is where the action happens, and since Cape Town is a pretty compact city, it makes it easy to get around. Okay, let me start by saying that all of the neighbourhoods I’m going to talk about in this article are considered to be central Cape Tow
Just a short drive away, this urban park connects the city centre with the V&A Waterfront. It runs alongside the ocean, making it a scenic place to stretch your legs. The long, paved promenade is a favourite for families, with plenty of space for kids to ride bikes or scooter
Wrapping up this stroll, you have a decent overview of the city center’s layout - if not a true understanding of all the awesome places within that city center. And, the focal point of this area - where we’d spend three weeks living - is Greenmarket Square, a city square that turns into a daily market with dozens of vendors selling local crafts and snacks. Once there, you definitely feel more downtown - bustling environment of bars, restaurants, hole-in-the-wall sandwich joints, little shops, and high-rise apartment buildings. Getting used to which ways to look when crossing the road led to more near-death experiences for us than crime… Long way of saying, yes, Cape Town does have crime issues, but they shouldn’t prevent you from visiting such an amazing city. Maybe Chipp’s paranoid, but these are pretty much the same recommendations for visiting an American cit
Check out Sea Point, a popular beachfront neighbourhood that’s close to the city’s attractions and famous for its stunning ocean and mountain views. The restaurants and cafés stay busy, and it’s a good time to enjoy the indoor side of Cape Town. Take an Uber to these neighborhoods (definitely don't walk to them) for the Neighbourgoods Saturday market, the breweries, vintage shopping, and pizza, then take an Uber Sea Point Real Estate back to wherever you're stayin
Tamboerskloof is a peaceful neighbourhood that sits on the slopes of Lion’s Head and Signal Hill. For more on De Waterkant, check out my complete guide to the neighbourhood. I could easily walk to Green Point, the CBD, and the Waterfront, and I had a ton of amenities right on my doorstep. It was also great for me as someone who didn’t have a car, because it’s so centrally located. In my opinion, it’s the safest Sea Point Real Estate part of Cape Town thanks to the private security. You’ve also got the Cape Quarter Mall Lifestyle Mall here, and some of my favourite cafes and restaurant

Sea Point Real Estate the action in Gardens revolves around Kloof Street, so in the Map above we've set its borders as being unofficially anywhere that's within easy walking distance of it. But you might not feel Cape Town the same way as if you stay in other neighborhoods. It's at the center of everything and affordable, so you'll be able to see more in less time and for less money by staying ther
For the most part, Llandudno is the "hidden gem" of the Atlantic Seaboard, with only one road in/out of the suburb - manned 24/7 by security. The area also boasts one of the city's best primary and high schools that bear the area's name. The scenic surroundings - mostly secluded from its neighbouring suburbs - and Victoria Road makes the area one of the most sought-after for buyers and holidaymakers. Since its setback from Sea Point, the area has been popular among families, older couples, and retirees, giving it a more neighbourly atmospher
It still has proximity to white sandy beaches, exciting activities, fine and casual dining, and one of the best markets in the city. Given that most of the area exists along the beach, buyers are spoiled for ocean views or the Green Point urban park and golf course. The Atlantic Seaboard is known for its beaches, bustling seaside city life, excellent schools, rolling hills and mountains. It’s bustling and beautiful, you’re right on the ocean, and it’s really central! Sea Point is really one of the best neighbourhoods to stay in when you’re visiting Cape Tow
